About Us About Paul Holt

An Organizational Psychologist, Paul is the President of the Holt Services Group and Manager of Sales Enablement Services. For over 30 years he has applied process development, behavior change, and adult learning principles to help individuals and organizations improve their performance. Paul is a highly regarded speaker and trainer, known for his practical approach and ability to produce demonstrable results. Drawing on his fund of knowledge and business acumen, Paul is able to combine academic research with established best practices to effectively address business challenges.

Paul earned his Ph.D. in Education and B.S. in Psychology from the University of Iowa. He is also certified in ITIL® Foundations. Highly trained in testing and measurement, Paul is well respected for his expertise in assessment and evaluation - expertise that includes the development of tools and methods, and insightful interpretation of results. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and conducted research on decision-making, mentoring, and cognitive development.

Private sector experience

Prior to founding the Holt Services Group, Paul was a certified Solution Selling® business partner. In that capacity he helped more than 100 companies and innumerable individuals increase revenue and profits. He designed and delivered sales training programs, developed field enablement tools, provided process development and implementation services, consulted with marketing in how to support the sales process, coached sales managers, and provided strategic consulting to executive management. He was noted for his ability to develop custom programs to meet the needs of specialized situations. Paul also served as the worlwide sales trainer for Hewlett-Packard Software and Peregrine Systems, Inc. 

Public sector experience

Paul spent over a decade working in academia. He was the Training Manager at the University of California - San Diego Center for Teaching Development, providing instructional design services and instructor training to professors, teaching assistants, and campus staff. Paul helped design the community college component of the San Diego County CalWORKS program. He has also taught at UCSD, California State University - San Marcos, San Diego Community College, and National University.
